The 13 Moon Calendar is not astrology. What is astrology?
As·trol·o·gy [əˈsträləjē/] noun – the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies interpreted as having an influence on human affairs and the natural world.
As I’ve ranted about before, the 13 Moon Calendar does not take the various spinnings, collisions and jostlings of things out there as its frame of reference. Rather, the Law of Time posits that the mathematics upon which the 13 Moon Calendar is based actually underlie and inform all those jostlings in the first place.
This is not to disrespect the practice of astrology which, like anything we lovely humans set our minds to, can range from the brilliant and insightful to the fun and silly.
But the 13 Moon Calendar is its own thing. I’ll put here Jose Arguelles’ oft-spoken words to the wise: Forget what you know. Do not try to comprehend with what you think you understand.
True, since the 13 Moon Calendar gives you a galactic signature it is very common to relate this to an astrological sign. But there’s no need to automatically pigeonhole the whole kit and caboodle in the “stuff like Astrology” aisle of our mind’s library, which is now spilling off the shelves with things like tarot, crystal balls, divination cards and internet personality quizzes. [Which Star Wars character are YOU?]
Now, I enjoy these things as much as the next human. [I’m Luke Skywalker by the way, of course!] In fact, I used to diligently check various divination decks each day, and it undoubtedly provided some fascination, upliftment and even profound comfort at times. But regarding the 13 Moon Calendar I just want to help you organize your mind’s library in the best way possible.
First, you can put a placeholder on the shelves of this “Stuff Like Astrology” aisle that says “13 Moon Calendar? See: New discoveries”. In fact, you could put this placeholder into any aisle of your library: Music, physics, color theory, community organization, whole systems thinking, cooking, aesthetics, dance, comedy, cooking, gardening – you get the idea.
Then, in your mind’s library I want you to install this interdimensional portal. Don’t worry, it’s free. And to download it all you have to do is whistle and hum at the same time. Go ahead, I’ll wait…
All done? Great!
This interdimensional portal will take you to a special place in the center of the center where your mind can perceive directly, free of the limitations of any preconceived notions about anything. The perfect state of mind to be in when learning the 13 Moon Calendar! And, thanks to the placeholder you put into all the other aisles of your mind’s library, from here you can instantaneously make free associative connections between the 13 Moon Calendar and every other topic imaginable, without letting those topics confuse what the 13 Moon Calendar itself actually is.
Now we’re getting somewhere! Let’s review. The Law of Time says that Time:
- Is the fourth dimension
- Is the universal frequency of synchronicity
- Taken as a whole constitutes the synchronic order or universal order of synchronicity, which
- Is primary to, underlies, informs, dictates, molds, shapes, directs the physical universe
- Is interactively engageable, on Earth, through daily use of the 13 Moon Calendar, being a coherent standard of measure in harmony with the mathematics/symmetry/rhythms of the synchronic order
- Is art!
The 13 Moon Calendar is also a master synchronization matrix that any cosmology can be plugged into. For example, a tarot reading, can be viewed through or along with the 13 Moon Calendar as a lens to discover the fourth-dimensional synchronicity underlying the reading.
Pro tip: The (free, downloadable) 260 Postulates of the Dynamics of Time introduces the term celestial harmonics, a very helpful topic to meditate on and become familiar with for deeper comprehension of the 13 Moon Calendar.
How does one plug things in to the 13 Moon Calendar? It’s simple: Find the numbers involved, and you plug it in! I’ll provide one example, because it really is just a matter of matching numbers, and the sky’s the limit…
Example: The chromatic scale consists of 13 notes (including the top/final note). The 13 Moon Calendar has several different cycles of 13:
- Every 13 days starts a wavespell (On Magnetic tone days) – So, pick a chromatic scale and assign the first note to the Magnetic tone, and go from there.
- Every 13 weeks is a quarter of the year – Same as above, starting with the first week of the 13 Moon Year (Magnetic Moon days 1-7), assign the first note of the scale to that week, and go from there.
- Every 13 Moons is one year – Same again, first Moon = first note, second Moon = second note, and so on.
Every system and structure has its number, and so can be plugged into the 13 Moon Calendar to reveal and measure its synchronicity. Unifying different systems in time reveals a larger pattern of universal meaning.
