In today’s world of social media frenzied communication, our culture has become the epitome of the hyperpropagated rumor fallacy.
Think of how many times you’ve seen some post or meme on social media, claiming some quick factoids, only to later find out the information was either completely wrong or so woefully divorced from its context as to be anything but true.
It is the latter of these two I’d like to focus on, because this dangerous tendency threatens to gradually decay our collective abilities to critically think in a whole systems manner. Political agendas, opinion agendas, click-bait agendas fuel the propagation of such “information” at a fever pace. After all, clicks, likes, shares means profits now – who cares if what is being shared is completely misleading?
Hearsay is a plague in any time. But in our time, hearsay is a thousand times a minute, a million times a day. Best case scenario: Such communiques are either completely ignored or thoroughly scrutinized by those receiving it (the minority). Worse case scenario: The information is shared without a second thought, validating the false foundations of a completely misguided, misinformed, incorrect and just plain deluded worldview.
Whole systems thinking is so badly needed in our time. The fact of our interconnectivity is right in our face. (It’s one of my favorite topics to rant about). We now have a vast artificial infrastructure virtually connecting everyone. But even more to the point, growing numbers of people are experiencing growing empathy, sensitive to all the dramas and dreams, perturbations, tectonic shifts and other such oscillations constantly pulsing on the surface of our dear planet.
Law of Time/13 Moon Calendar lingo would call such people noospheric chips (See Time and the Technosphere by Jose Arguelles): Millions of pin-points of consciousness, aware of and in touch with the planetary nature of human existence and consciousness. Planetary and beyond!
So my friend even if you don’t identify as a noospheric chip, with the internet there’s no getting away from your awareness of and interconnectedness with the whole planet (at least, not without coming down with a spell of cognitive dissonance).
Before learning to walk we must crawl. So, before behaving as a fully coherent and intelligent planetary consciousness, we must learn to think and feel in terms of whole systems. The 13 Moon Calendar is a tool you can use every day to cultivate and strengthen whole systems thinking.
How? First of all the 13 Moon Calendar is in and of itself a whole system. It is fractally consistent, self-referential and mathematically coherent – just as is any whole system. All systems in nature are a balanced equation. Only the human being, operating in an artificial timing frequency, can and has disturbed this balance – physically, geologically, emotionally – ok let’s face it: In every way possible we have disturbed balance! But not to fear. Every little thing is going to be alright because we are now learning to crawl – to think in terms of whole systems.
When you know your galactic signature you are instantaneously introduced into a matrix of synchronicity wherein all other signatures have a specific point of relationship to your signature. Then as the days go by each galactic signature is found within a larger whole: a 4-day cycle, 5-day cycle, 7-day cycle, 13-day cycle, 20-day cycle, 28-day cycle, 52-day cycle, 65-day cycle, 73-day cycle, 130-day cycle, 260-day cycle, 365-day, 520-day cycle, a 2080-unit psi bank – and on, and on, and on.
When you are following the 13 Moon Calendar there is an ongoing and moving context of time which sweeps you along while continuously increasing your sensitivity to the greater whole of the ocean upon which you are apparently surfing, but deep, deep within which you truly reside.
Deep in the heart of its depths, you feel the whole ocean. Cultivating this sensitivity and tendency to think and feel in terms of whole systems will not only make us better planetary citizens but ultimately accelerate the journey along our many unique paths toward the highest, most wonderful dream.
